The visual identity for Alan Chu plays with the idea of architectural drawing and 3D representation. Architecture is, first of all, a projectual discipline, which, before its construction, starts with the study of a project and its representation. The symbol represents this idea and allows for a playfulness on the website: when you scroll through it vertically it animates like if one of the faces of the geometric solid disappears. The website also uses this concept of spatial representation through side scrolling to navigate inside a project and vertical scrolling to navigate to another project, which explores the spatial capabilities of internet navigation. The use of big images and different pictures per project is also a way to value the quality of the projects. The other promotional material explored different sides of the symbol developed. Due to the architect’s professional reasons, it wasn’t possible to move forward with the project and the website.
